Design a coffee table book encompassing the life and milestones of Mohammed Rafi capturing a visual delight through rare photos and hand-made illustrations

Structured into three sections—Early Life, Tuning In, and Echoes of Stardom. Designed in an 8 × 8-inch format, 0.5-inch margins, 6 × 6 modular grid, and a 0.125-inch gutter space to create a cohesive visual narrative.
The typography creates a balance between elegance, readability, and modernity. Distinct type styles establish a clear hierarchy, guide the reader through the content, and add emphasis to key elements such as headings and quotes.
Several books on Mohammed Rafi were studied to see how his stories were told. One such book, Mohammed Rafi – Golden Voice of the Silver Screen by Sujata Dev was restructured and optimized for better storytelling.
Monochromatic photographs of Rafi with hand-made illustrations were used to add emotional feel along with calming tones of color for each section differentiating stages of his life.
